Lindback's misfortune continues in Preds loss to Carolina

The Carolina Hurricanes held on to defeat the Nashville Predators by a 4-3 score on Tuesday night at the RBC Center. Carolina used two power play goals to put them over the top.

Anders Lindback started in net for the Predators, and got the loss for the sixth consecutive time that he has appeared in a game. Despite giving up four goals, Lindback played a pretty solid game. Nashville took six penalties on the night, which put them at a disadvantage for a significant portion of the game.

Nashville got goals from Craig Smith, Colin Wilson and Gabriel Bourque. However, the three goal output wasn't enough. Untimely penalties, defensive lapses, average goaltending and bad turnovers proved to be the difference in the game.

Carolina got goals from Jamie McBain, Eric Staal, Tim Brent and Bryan Allen on the night. Staal played a fantastic game for the Hurricanes, recording one goal and two assists on the night.

It was very clear that Carolina had more energy throughout the night than the Predators did. Carolina outworked the Predators for the majority of the night, and they won the battles along the wall. It was a good effort from the Hurricanes, and Nashville couldn't get that big goal near the end of the game like they have throughout this season.

The Predators will now get a few days off to rest. After playing five games in the past eight nights, the Predators will now have a three day break before taking on the Florida Panthers on Saturday night in Sunrise.
