Surging Flames make first trip to Nashville

The Nashville Predators will host the Calgary Flames tonight at Bridgestone Arena for the first time at home this season. These two teams have already met twice in Calgary, with each time winning one and losing one. Calgary got the 1-0 shutout victory over the Predators in their last meeting.

Nashville is coming off of a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night. The Predators played a strong team game, and really controlled the play throughout the contest.

Calgary is coming off of a 3-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. Jarome Iginla scored two goals in that game, and has really been heating up as of late. He was named the NHL First Star of the week last week.

Normally, games between these two teams often come down to goaltending. Both the Predators and the Flames have great goaltenders, and that usually means that games between Nashville and Calgary are low-scoring affairs. Expect the same sort of storyline tonight.

My player to watch for the Flames is Iginla. He's been on fire as of late, and that's never good news for the Predators. Shea Weber and Ryan Suter will have to play a strong game against Iginla's line tonight.

For Nashville, my player to watch is Pekka Rinne. Rinne hasn't been playing as well as he would like as of late, and he'll need to have a strong game in net for the Predators tonight.
