Preds to face Flames in final trip to Calgary this year

The Nashville Predators will look to build off of last night's victory against the Edmonton Oilers as they travel to Calgary for the second and final time this season.

Nashville was able to escape with a 2-0 win in the first meeting of the year between these two teams on October 22 despite being outshot 33-14. Pekka Rinne picked up his first shutout of the season, and it was his first career victory against the Flames.

Rinne will likely be in net for the Predators tonight after Anders Lindback got his first win of the season against the Oilers last night.

Calgary is coming off of a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday. The Flames had 11 players that had one point in that game. Calgary has a 9-12-1 record on the year, but have only won four of their 10 home games.

Kyle Wilson(pictured above) has been recalled from Milwaukee by the Predators for tonight's game in what is likely a response to Blake Geoffrion's injury that he sustained against Edmonton last night. Wilson is tied for the lead in points with 13 for the Admirals.

My player to watch for the Flames is Alex Tanguay. He leads the Flames with 16 points on the season, and has played well offensively for the Flames so far this year.

For Nashville, my player to watch is Jack Hillen. Due to the injury to Francis Bouillon, Hillen has moved up to the second defensive pairing with Kevin Klein. He did a good job against the Oilers, and the Predators will need that to continue. Shea Weber and Ryan Suter eat up a lot of minutes on a nightly basis, and they need the other defensive pairings to relieve some of the pressure.

The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. central time.
