Preds take on Calgary this afternoon

The Nashville Predators will face the Calgary Flames on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Calgary. Both teams have a 2-3-1 record on the young season, and both will be looking to collect two points.

Nashville dodged a bullet when the announcement came that Shea Weber would not be suspended for his illegal hit against Vancouver on Thursday night. Weber was fined $2,500 for the hit.

Jarome Iginla and the Flames suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday night. Alex Tanguay leads the Flames in points so far this season with seven.

For Calgary, my player to watch is Iginla. He always plays well against the Predators, and usually seems to score at least one goal. He's still a great player in this league, and the Flames will go as far as he takes them.

My player to watch for Nashville is Jordin Tootoo. Tootoo was one of the only players for Nashville that had any fire on Thursday night against the Canucks. He really tried to energize the team. Expect Tootoo to bring that same sort of intensity against Calgary.
