2011-2012 NHL Award Predictions

Two of the most popular picks to win the Stanley Cup this year are Pittsburgh and Chicago. I don't see this either of these teams hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup at the end of the season. But, I do have picks of my own. Using the Western Conference predictions made earlier this week at Hockey Night in Nashville, I will break down my playoff predictions, Stanley Cup winner, and who I think will win the individual awards at the end of the year.

Western Conference playoff predictions:

1st round

#1 Vancouver defeats #8 Anaheim
#2 Los Angeles defeats #7 Minnesota
#3 Detroit defeats #6 Chicago
#5 Nashville defeats #4 San Jose

2nd round
#5 Nashville defeats #1 Vancouver
#2 Los Angeles defeats #3 Detroit

3rd round
#2 Los Angeles defeats #5 Nashville

Stanley Cup Final
Washington defeats Los Angeles

What do you think? Do the Kings have what it takes to win the Western Conference? Will the addition of Tomas Vokoun help the Washington Capitals win the Stanley Cup? Can Nashville really make it to the Western Conference Finals? Sound off in the comments below.
