In a matter of about two weeks, it will once again be time to lace up the skates and play hockey! Rookies report to Predators training camp on September 9th, and will begin on-ice activities on September 10 at Centennial Sportsplex.
A team of Nashville Predators prospects will travel to Florida to play games against the Tampa Bay Lightning(Sept. 12) and the Florida Panthers(Sept. 13).
The first day of Training Camp is Friday, September 16. Players will report for testing and physicals, and will begin on-ice sessions on Saturday, September 17 at Centennial Sportsplex.
Pre-season games will begin on September 19, and then regular season hockey will start on October 7 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It's a very exciting and anxious time for hockey fans in Nashville. The new season is right around the corner, and the anticipation of a new season in Smashville is palpable.
Although it's been the shortest off-season in the history of the Nashville Predators' franchise, it almost seems as if it has been the longest. There have been several issues that have made this off-season, at times, a very stressful one for the organization and the fans.
The bottom line is that players, coaches and fans are all ready to hit the ice and to get the season started. That time is almost here, Prednation. Get ready for the ride.
