The Nashville Predators have signed former New York Islander defenseman Jack Hillen to a one-year, two way contract. The contract is worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the AHL level.
Hillen is 25 years old and is a guy that's not afraid to throw himself in front of a puck. He's not going to be a huge producer of points, but he is a solid defenseman. Whether or not he will make the opening day roster remains to be seen.
