The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Nashville Predators by a 1-0 score in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi Finals. Very simply put, the Predators did not show up to the game.
Pekka Rinne played his tail off. He stopped 29 of 30 shots but it wasn't enough. His team played terribly in front of him.
Besides Rinne, there was not one player on the ice for the Predators that deserved and NHL contract tonight. Not one. They looked tired and out of sync. Vancouver was the one that, coming into the game, was supposed to look tired. It was just the opposite.
There's not much more to say. Nashville was terrible tonight. There's nowhere to go but up. Game 2 is Saturday at 8:00.
