The series shifts to Nashville on Sunday when the Anaheim Ducks and Nashville Predators face off in a critical Game 3 contest at Bridgestone Arena. Anaheim took Game 2 on Friday night by a 5-3 score to even the series at one game apiece.
Nashville has a huge opportunity in games 3 and 4. Bobby Ryan will have to sit both games out due to suspension after he stomped on Jonathon Blum's foot in Game 2. This presents a great chance for the Preds to take complete control of this series. The next two games are at home, and one of the top line guys for the Ducks is out. What more could you ask for?
Smashville will be rocking for this game. Sunday afternoon's game is expected to be sold out, and will be as loud as ever. The Preds have to get back to what made them successful in Game 1, and in the 3rd period of Game 2. That means putting the puck on net with quality chances, skating hard on the offensive and defensive side of the puck, and staying out of the penalty box.
Due to Ryan's suspension, the "RPG" line is obviously going to be broken up. However, the Ducks are still a dangerous team. In Game 2, Nashville was simply outskated in the first two periods. I wouldn't expect that to happen again on Sunday. The Preds are at home for Game 3 of the playoffs. You can bet they're going to come out fast and hard. The puck drops at 5:00 p.m.
