Preds Fail To Get Two Points; Still On Outside

The San Jose Sharks defeated the Nashville Predators by a 3-2 score on Tuesday night in overtime. Pekka Rinne once again played a fantastic game and once again was not rewarded.

The Predators scored both of their goals on the power-play, which is the first time two power-play goals in one game have been scored by Nashville since January 16th. None other than Patrick Marleau scored the winning goal in overtime for the Sharks to give them the victory.

With the point gained, the Preds now sit in 10th place in the Western Conference with 76 points. The Preds will face the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night in a pivotal Western Conference match up. The Preds can pass the Wild on Thursday night with a regulation win.

All in all, it was a better effort from Nashville tonight......until the 3rd period. That trend has to change or the Preds aren't going anywhere. With the loss, Nashville is now 0-6 in overtime games and further confirms their inability to play 4 on 4 hockey.

If the blog seems a little short tonight, it is. My computer is experiencing problems so I had to do this on my phone. I apologize and I'll have everything fixed later today.
