Vancouver comes calling in Nashville Thursday night in a crucial game for the Predators. The Preds are coming off of an overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night and need to rebound quickly against the best team in the West.
There have been many situations this year when the crowd has needed to be an extremely important part of the game, but tonight's game against Vancouver may be the one that is most necessary of them all so far. The Western Conference standings are freakin' tight. There's really no other way to say it. The Predators are going to need the crowd to be extremely loud from here on out.
Over the summer, Dan Hamhuis made comments about how Vancouver's "Summer Summit" was like a Nashville home game in November. While Hamhuis is highly unlikely to be playing in this game(due to a concussion), let's show his teammates how loud a crowd in Nashville can really be. Heck, we're playing against the best team in the NHL. What more of a reason do you need to be loud?
I expect a incredible hockey game tonight. Both teams are going to be flying around, but I expect Nashville to pull out the victory simply because they need this game more than the Canucks do. I have a feeling that we're going to see the best effort the Preds have to offer tonight. My prediction: Nashville wins 5-3.
