What Is Tootoo's Most Memorable Incident?

If you saw the game Saturday night versus the Panthers, you saw Michael Frolik absolutely annihilated by Jordin Tootoo. It was the hardest hit that I have ever witnessed live. Well, it was the hardest legal hit I've ever witnessed live. But what is his hit on Saturday night his most memorable moment of contact, or was it when he clocked Stephan Robidas a few years ago?

A few years ago, Jordin Tootoo destroyed Stephan Robidas after a legal check into the boards. He felt Robidas coming in behind him and gave him a punch that left him on the ice for about 10 minutes. He was out cold.

Then there is Saturday night. Tootoo had been high-sticked in the face by Tomas Vokoun, and had previously been cross-checked without it being called. It's safe to say he was a little irritated and out for revenge.

So which one is more memorable? I'll leave that for you to decide!

  1. After further review, the hit wasn't as clean as I first thought. Toots was striding as he made contact, which could have been a charge. He also led with his arm up, which could have been an elbow, or "intent to injure".
None-the-less, Toots killed that poor boy...quite reminiscent of the hit on Coliocacovo (wow, I misspelled that) that we witnessed in the St. Louis game earlier in the year.
