I hate the Detroit Red Wings more than any other sports franchise on this planet. Most of the fans here in Nashville share my animosity with this franchise. However, I do have respect of the talent they have and their history. But this isn't the past. This is right now.
The Preds are often guilty of giving this team more respect than is needed. Yes, you need to respect their ability to score and control the puck. But, you don't need to sit around in awe of them while trying to defend them. It just won't work. Take the puck when you have it and shove it right down their throat.
If the Preds play their game, they will win. Work harder than they do. Skate harder than they do. And above all, maintain concentration. If you do that, you will come out on the winning side of the hockey game.
This is a big game. All of the games vs. Detroit are big and this one is no different. If we're going to catch the Wings this year, it's going to have to begin now. Get out their and bring the physicality. Hit them hard and hit them often. Take it to them and show them that we're a team to be reckoned with. Screw all of them. Get out there and win the damn hockey game.
