Nashville loses again as they fall 2-1 by way of a shootout after leading most of the game in front of a sold out crowd at Bridgestone Arena. They were 0 for 6 on the power-play. I guess the bright side would be they were 7 for 7 on the penalty kill. That's another point given away that might keep them out of the playoffs down the road. Of course, if they keep playing like this we won't even remember how to spell playoffs in April.
At this point, I don't even know what to say. At least Colin Wilson scored. Maybe that'll get him going offensively. We're now 9 out of 22 with a record of 9-8-5. That puts us at 23 points which means we've gotten 23 out of 44 points. That's not going to get it done in the Western Conference.
It's becoming heavily apparent that we don't have the will to score. We don't have the right system to score. Heck, right now we probably don't even have the talent to score.
The defense was much better tonight, only surrendering the one lucky goal in regulation that tipped off of Dumont's stick.
Changes are needed. It's time to make them.
