The St.Louis Blues lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night by a score of 8-1. It looked like the Blues simply were not ready to play this game. Also, T.J. Oshie injured his ankle in the game. Will the Blues come out tonight with something to prove or will this loss hurt their confidence a little?
Ryan Suter and Martin Erat will not play tonight against St.Louis and actually did not make the trip. Hopefully one or both of them will be ready to go on Saturday night against Chicago.
In yesterday's blog, I called tonight's game a "must-win" and received backlash from several people. I also went on to say that the deficit is not insurmountable but it's not a preferrable deficit to overcome. I write out of emotion very often. Sometimes I'm going to say stuff that pretty much nobody agrees with. You'll have to forgive me. Of course, if the Preds lose tonight's game they are not eliminated. Their season is not over. There's no reason to pack it all in or give up on the season at all. But they do really really really really REALLY need to win this game. I think we all can agree on that. I'm going to say stupid stuff sometimes. I apologize in advance.
I really like the NHL's idea of the new way of doing things with the All-star game. It makes the game a lot more interesting to look forward to. I think it'll work out great and it should be fun to watch!
Tune in to the Preds game tonight as they face the Blues. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. in St.Louis
